New Delhi, November 20, 2011: Globus Spirits Limited (GSL) today announced that its expanded capacities at its units in Samalkha and Behror are now fully functional and have reached stabilization. Following the expansion and further stabilization, GSL is now operating at a combined capacity of 70 million litres at these two units.
GSL had raised funds in a public issue in September 2009 for capacity expansion from 28.8 million bulk litres to 48.6 million bulk litres. Having state of the art plants in Haryana and Rajasthan, the company’s production capacity is 84.4 million bulk litres. While we had initially planned for capacities of 48.6 million bulk litres post-expansion, due to some excellent value engineering by our operations team, we have now been able to expand to 70 million litres with nominal amount of incremental capex. Our new distillation columns had started functioning in the beginning of this year itself. Now we have stabilized the new capacities and are expecting our capacity utilization rates to reach 85-90% within a month’s time said Ajay Swarup, Managing Director at Globus Spirits.
After this capacity increase, GSL will become the one of the largest grain based distillers and bottlers in the country.

County Club is designed to be an aspirational brand targeted at regular segment whisky drinkers. New Delhi, February 21, 2010: Globus Spirits Limited today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Jagatjit Industries for bottling of their popular IMFL brands, including Aristocrat Whisky at its Samalkha unit in Haryana. The term of the agreement is three years providing for volumes of 1.2 million cases per annum. Globus Spirits would be setting up a dedicated facility for bottling of these brands.
"The tie-up with Jagatjit would provide a significant impetus to our bottling operations. We have already been bottling for ABD India for the last three years and have maintained that this business vertical has immense scope because of the structural nuances of the alcohol industry in India. We are expecting the contract to boost our bottomline starting the next financial year”, said Ajay Swarup, Managing Director at Globus Spirits.
