This small batch gin is hand crafted at the family-owned distillery, combining botanicals from around India, curated from Khari Baoli –the largest and most famous spice market in Asia.
GRAIN TO GLASS
Established by Shekhar Swarup, a 4th generation distiller, our distillery in Behror, Rajasthan houses a custom-made Carl copper pot-still. Here the gin is created with eleven botanicals in a traditional one-shot London Dry process.
The base distillate, TERAI’s pure heart, is the rice grain spirit selected from the adjoining family distillery. This Grain to Glass process gives the ability to best reflect the distiller’s expression.
Eleven select botanicals sourced mainly from Khari Baoli -Asia’s largest spice market - make up TERAI.
It is a vibrant gin which begins with lush green notes lifted by a citrus zest. This is followed by a characteristic floral bouquet and a sweet and piney juniper aroma. On the palate, sweet and herbaceous flavours are balanced by a dry spice and savoury finish.
